From 11 to 17 September 2017 the Defence Medical Welfare Service comes together with over 200 other charities for Remember A Charity Week. The aim is to encourage more people to support the causes they love with a gift in their Will.

Legacies are vital to our very survival, a fact that most of our supporters don’t realise. To raise some much needed awareness, we’ve joined forces with Remember A Charity, the largest consortium of its kind in the UK working to promote legacy giving.

With 35%* of people saying they would consider including a gift to charity after providing for their family and friends in their will, and only 7%* doing so, there is huge potential to increase income from legacies. We are proud to be working with Remember A Charity to make this a reality.

The Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS) has supported over 1,000,000 members of the frontline community since 1943.  Your legacy will help those who have been wounded, injured or become sick as a result of service through the road to recovery.

Did you know that 7.3% per cent of the UK have left a gift to charity in their will. A 4% increase would raise a further £1 billion for good causes such as DMWS every year. *TNS Social 2008
