This course will be replaced in April 2018 with the all-new MHFA Adult -
Mental Health Aware half-day course.

The MHFA Adult (half-day) course is an introductory course and lasts around three hours.

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

- Define mental health and some common mental health issues
- Identify stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues
- Relate to people's experiences and support people in distress
- Look after your own mental health.

Due to some of the sensitive subjects on the course, we limit numbers to 25 people. We want everyone to feel safe and our instructors can help if people find some parts particularly difficult.

Each participant will receive a MHFA Adult (half-day) manual that they can take away at the end of the session, and an attendance certificate from MHFA England.

The course is for everyone aged 16 and above and you don’t need any qualifications or experience in mental health to take part.
